The workshop covers relevant topics in power line communications with emphasis to PLC in the context of smart grid and smart metering.
WSPLC 2018 will bring together academia and industry professionals as well as students and researchers to present and discuss ongoing work on existing and future power line communication (PLC) systems, PLC applications, PLC standardization activities with emphasis.
Presentation by Fabian Karl on Tuesday 25th September at 11:15-12:00 ‘Monitoring of Distribution Grids Using B-PLC Infrastructure’
6.-8.2.2018 Essen, Germany
E world energy & water has once more provided impressive proof of its position as Europe’s leading trade fair in the energy industry. Digitalisation, flexibilisation and decentralisation were the defining subjects on which the over 25,000 visitors from 73 nations obtained information and exchanged ideas. The focus was on the integration of electricity and heat, energy-efficient buildings and electrical transport into an intelligent, flexible and optimized overall system. At our booth in hall 3 we presented our latest products and innovations to the visitors.
This year we already have experienced a lot. Look back on the last events with us:
08.-11.04.2018 Manchester, United Kingdom
The 2018 IEEE International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications (ISPLC) was the 22nd symposium dedicated to scientific and technical advances in the field of communications over power lines. The main topic was “PLC for Smart Grid and Beyond” and focused on industry applications of power line communications, theoretical and practical aspects of communications theory, algorithms, channel and noise measurements, EMC, simulation and real implementations, evaluation and lessons from field trials and related experience, network planning, installation, operation and management, protocols, cybersecurity, standards and regulations pertaining to communications via power lines.
Eugen Mayer participated on the Expert Panel ‘Metering: is it all for PLC or what next?’
09.11.2017 PPC AG, Mannheim
On November 9, the Datacenter Backstage-Day took place at the PPC headquarter in Mannheim. People, who are interested in IT, security, efficiency and operational costs had the chance to take a look behind the scenes at PPC and took advantage of the exclusive opportunity to gather lots of valuable information and impressions.
The highlight of the event: a visit in the PPC data center!
